Friends only.

I didn't want to have to do this, but ... I am. Comment to be added. (Please be sure to tell me who you are!)

EDIT//: I made my journal entries private for two reasons: 1) for privacy's sake and 2) to make navigation easier for people on FP (I didn't want people to have to hunt for my FP-related updates through heaps of entries about ... well, nothing haha).

If you're my friend you'll get to see teasers, poll results, excerpts of my bad writing from high school, the weird shit I find on the internet, and the trivialities of boring uni life.

won't be posting complete stories here

C&D chapter update!

Another chapter has been added to Authonomy.

Some changes I made:
-Christina is more suspicious of Michael's attempt at collaberation
-Christina is more suspicious of A's "help"
-Michael obsesses over how the IMA plan to off him (I thought this should be added because he's fairly rational and it seems like something he would do: that is, look at all possible options from every angle to try and formulate some kind of plan.)
-There were a couple typos that said "Port Angeles/Angelus" instead of "Lake Angelus". This is a pretty significant difference as PA is in Washington, and LA is in Michigan. These typos have been corrected. :)

(Please, please, please let me know if you find typos. Some of the ones I found are realllly embarrassing and I can't believe nobody ever pointed them out to me before. I promise I won't bite!!)

Also: a couple of additional scenes were also added to help transitions along and explain some of the events that transpire in the sequel. A lot of these were pretty fun to write, so I hope you enjoy them as much as I did writing them.

All these revisions are a bit strange for me, because I started this story for the first time nearly six years ago. And while I purged most of the original dialogue for being too contrived, every so often I'll come across one of the original lines and it makes me feel so nostalgic. I guess it just goes to show that writing is more than just making up a bunch of stuff. There's a bit of development involved, too.

P.S. Has anyone heard Miley Cyrus's new song? I was a bit skeptical listening to it, because I don't really like her other stuff, but I actually really enjoyed this one! I definitely think there's influence from Britney Spears and Lady Gaga, but she still manages to keep her style from her teenybopper pop phase. The combination is weird... but pleasing. I may even purchase her new album!

New chapterrrrrrr.

Again, thanks for the support. I got this incredibly sweet message on the site from somebody named Andri, as well as numerous other comments from well-wishers from FP, and it makes me so happy to have such wonderful, loyal readers.

I'll try to update more often. I'm actually ahead in my work right now, so there should be another update fairly soon.

Also, anyone hear about the new law passed in Oklahoma? I'm not sure what to think.

It's been 2 weeks since...

Has it really been only 2 weeks since my last update? It feels like so much longer than that! Well, anyway, I just wanted to let you guys know that I uploaded the ninth chapter of C&D. This chapter has some cool new scenes in it, too! (Because I know reading the same old, same old can be boring in a rewrite)

Hope you guys enjoy!

And because people seem to find this helpful, here is the link: http://www.authonomy.com/ReadBook.aspx?bookid=18028&chapterid=195719#chapter

Writer's Block: My Mythical Creature

If you could have any mythical creature as a pet, what sort of creature would you choose and what special powers would it have?

Brought to you by How to Train Your Dragon. In theaters everywhere Friday.

I just finished reading The Last Unicorn, so I'm a little biased, but I'd have to say unicorns. My god, that story was just so achingly beautiful that I actually cried a little at the end. If you haven't watched it, you definitely should. Oh, and there's a movie, too!

Out of all the mythological creatures portrayed in fiction, I think unicorns are some of the most understated. Some unicorn trivia: They are beautiful, elusive creatures with the tail of a lion, the hooves of a goat, the legs of a deer, and the face of a white mare (although this varies from book to book depending on the author). A unicorn's horn heals, and can bring people back from death. They are also forest guardians, protecting the fauna and keeping the flora alive. And only the pure of heart can approach them, especially young virgin girls.

I'm such a child, but I will never stop loving fantasy. Especially when there are unicorns involved.

Badda bing, badda boom.

New chapter out on authonomy! There's a couple new scenes, so those of you who read the story before will hopefully enjoy that little surprise. I fixed some of the typos people pointed out to me in my previous FP draft and expanded on some points that needed expanding.

Hope you enjoy it!

Chapter six is posted!

This is fun. I really missed these characters. With the rewrite, I feel like I'm getting to know Christina and Michael all over again.

You may have noticed that I toned the swearing down quite a bit and tried to make it less... Lolita-ish. (:

Stop procrastination... tomorrow.

I have a research presentation coming up, which means, of course... PROCRASTINATION. And what is the best way to procrastinate, you might ask, aside from spending my time at various coffee shops, partying, and listening to very loud alternative punk music at 2am in the morning?

That's right, updating Cloak and Dagger!

Chapter 5 is up. I added a new scene from Michael's POV, so things would flow better. There's a new character, too, although he probably won't appear again in the story. I kind of imagine him to look like Dr. Watson, as played by Jude Law in the most recent Holmes movie.

Some people have told me they've had trouble locating the link, so I guess embedding the link in the text made it a little difficult to find. So here is the URL for the story's new home. Hope this helps!

P.S. This pace probably won't last. Things are about to get even more hectic, so I'm just trying to enjoy my freedom while I can!

New chapter.

I'm currently in the process of adding chapter 4 to C&D on Authonomy. It should be up in just a couple minutes. That's all I have written at the moment, so it might be a little while before the next update. As always, comments and suggestions would be much appreciated! Take care, everyone!
